DESCRIPTION OF SESSION: This webinar will feature a question and answer format with an interviewer and panelists answering questions. Topics of discussion will include: some of the most common proficiency testing errors that result in failures; what participants can do to avoid failures; how are proficiency testing results scored; and what does a laboratory need to do if they have a proficiency testing failure. There will be time allowed for audience questions and answers. LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION: INTERMEDIATE, Refresher course; some basic knowledge required PROGRAM OBJECTIVES: At the end of the session, the participant will be able to: 1. Describe some of the most common proficiency testing failures. 2. Explain what a laboratory must do when they have a proficiency testing failure. 3. Discuss what preventative practices should be implemented after experiencing a failure when preparing for a laboratory inspection.
